To the Future, with Digital
Digital Literacy is the new need of the hour for ensuring a society of responsible and educated citizens. To lead a good life in this technology-driven world, Digital Literacy will be playing an important role. PCC, along with the National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) has raised its hand in ensuring that Pune reaches the target of becoming the first completely digitally literate city of the country.
Leverage the existing ecosystem for imparting Digital Literacy
Open ~100 "Digital Literacy Centers" in the next 3 years
Engage in a "Each One Teach Two" volunteer teaching campaign for individual citizens
Goals
One person each from the 410000 households (census 2011) become digitally literate. That is the target PCC aims to achieve to make Pune completely digitally literate. This means training approximately 247 per day, in a 5 year span from April 2015 to March 2020. Following are the key milestones we hope to achieve towards the ultimate goal of becoming India’s first digitally literate city.
