Ruchi is a post graduate from IIM-Ahmedabad and comes with over 20 years of work experience straddling both, the corporate and the non-profit sector. She has worked in varied functions such as advertising, marketing, fund-raising, HR and strategy across myriad industries. She is excited about Pune City Connect due to her passion for enabling high scale and impact through collaborative platforms.
Shalini Sinha
Head, Sustainable Livelihood Track
Shalini is a Hospitality graduate, and has over 14 years of work experience in the Hospitality & Real Estate sectors, both in India and overseas. She strongly believes that given the right platform the youth of a nation can drive socio-economic change. She is excited about her current assignment of project managing Pune City Connects, Sustainable Livelihood track. This project has the potential to transform the lives of the underprivileged youth in our city.
Ruth Tribhivan
Head, Swachh Track
Being a Punekar, Ruth has an undeterred passion to see the city of Pune grow and develop to its fullest potential. After working as a SAP consultant with Cognizant Technologies for 7 years, she went to the U.S to pursue her higher education in somatic and culture studies. She has worked in the areas of Cross Cultural integration and Volunteer Engagement with NGOs like Asha Seva Kendra and Global Connections where she ensured that the members’ of the international community in Pune receive proper cultural orientation of Pune and care from the local citizens.
Sneha Sahasrabudhe
Head, Digital Track
Sneha has done her masters in Psychology and has been working since 4 years with NASSCOM Foundation in the Tech for Good space. Altruistic by nature, she finds solace in the return smiles that she gets from people impacted that enter expectantly and exit empowered to use technology for good! She has taken up the role of making Pune a digitally literate city. Sneha is also the Assistant Manager at NASSCOM Foundation.
Madhukar Banuri
Head, Education Track
Madhukar comes with a passion towards collective action models that build the capacity of school & government stakeholders in education. He was a 2009 Teach For India (TFI) Fellow teaching 35 students in a public school in Pune, and also worked with TFI as a Manager, closely working with the local government & school communities. Previously, Madhukar worked as a Senior Consultant for School Improvement at Gray Matters India and also as a Marketing Manager with Larsen & Toubro. Madhukar holds a degree in engineering from BITS Pilani and is an Acumen India 2015 Fellow.
Moiz Shaikh - New
Project Manager, Education Track (Sahyogi Dal)
Moiz is a post graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management and brings more than 10 years of work experience in the corporate and education sector. He has worked as a sales manager in a technology firm, as a class teacher in a municipal school, as a senior manager in a skills development organization and as a programme manager with an organization that mobilizes scientific and technical expertise to solve global problems. He is excited to be a part of Pune City Connect as it gives him the platform to create long term sustainable impact in the education sector.
Damini Mainkar
Project Associate, Education Track (Sahyogi Dal)

Akshat comes with a system design background and strives to apply those to education. After completing his degree in Computer Science from VJTI in Mumbai, he joined Teach for India and taught 40 7th and 8th graders in a government school in Pune. He dreams of building a contextualised, replicable solution for collective action in the public education system to improve learning outcomes. Previously, Akshat has worked as Human Resources for Teach for India as well as managed geographically disparate long-term, high impact projects for Experifun.
The Shikshak Sahyogi Dal group comprises 20 PMC teachers who have taken on the role of Shikshak Sahyogis. They currently support 1300 teachers from the Marathi & Urdu medium PMC schools with classroom observations, month-end teacher training and providing one-to-one personal coaching. This project has also created a platform where the best practices of the teachers are appreciated and are shared with the larger community.
The Shikshak Sahyogis are actively involved in developing content for online education which is the need of the hour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Model Schools/School Improvement Project
A network of 10 Primary and 5 Secondary Schools with a focus on creating a holistic learning environment. The 3 pillars of the program are Jeevan Shikshan – social and emotional learning, creating vibrant physical learning spaces and activity-based learning through robotics, science, and music.
