PUNE CITY CONNECT

Towards Sampoorna Pune

A pioneering model for large scale social change

Pune City Connect is a pioneering model and its uniqueness lies in its design, which enables different stakeholders working for social change to come together for common purpose. We have tremendous faith in the possibility of collective action for the wellbeing of all. Today, more than ever before, citizens want to contribute to a more just and equitable society. Urban spaces need structured and scaled platforms that allow for meaningful contribution by diverse stakeholders. Pune City Connect would like to play a facilitative role in the development of cohesive, connected and supportive ecosystems in the city that enable dignity and opportunity for all.

Additionally, the program is strongly anchored in universal human values and it is these values that dictate the ‘how’ of program design. One of the underlying beliefs of PCC is in the agency of individuals. That is, the ability of individuals to have a positive self-image, sense of possibility and personal efficacy. All PCC programs, be it sustainable livelihood, digital empowerment or quality education, are designed to foster individual and collective agency.
