A Pioneering Model for Social Transformation
Pune City Connect is a one of a kind endeavor that enables Government, Corporates, Nonprofits, and Citizens to come together for the common purpose of social development in Pune. This collective action model not only leads to scale but also leverages the specific expertise of various stakeholders in the city.
While scale is facilitated through collective action, depth of impact is achieved through program design. All programs have the common element of enabling the ‘agency’ of individuals and are driven by the four Pune City Connect values of Courage, Inclusion, Empathy, and Integrity. The dream is to enable a city where there is dignity and opportunity for all.

Partnership between PMC and PCC
In November 2015, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) entered into a partnership with Pune City Connect for the setting up of a Public-Private-Partnership model to enable inclusive and equitable growth in Pune city.
From co-creating the concept and framework in 2015, to making the required investments for provision of program-locations and capex, to mobilization of communities for enrolment into the programs, PMC has been an incredibly supportive anchor partner. Further, the PMC-PCC partnership has fostered the creation of a pioneering and truly precious PPP in the social space. While PMC provides locations and capital expenses for the projects, donor partners from the private sector provide operating expenses and other resources for ongoing program operations.
